The Presidio Trust is seeking an Environmental Health Specialist who will support the Emergency Management and Safety department. Once an Army Base, the Presidio of San Francisco is now a new kind of national park. The 1,500-acre Presidio is richly layered in history, is a natural oasis for wildlife, plants, and people, and offers iconic views known around the world. In its third decade as a park, public awareness and enjoyment of this exceptional place continues grow.
The Environmental Health Specialist serves as a compliance officer and in-house consultant for projects with an abatement, asbestos, and mold element for the Presidio Trust. Provides inspection services and conditions assessments for asbestos abatement, mold remediation and lead based paint projects, and oversees compliance requirements of the lead and asbestos program. The Environmental Health Specialist provides periodic reports on quality controls and compliance elements related to the lead and asbestos program of the various maintenance, renovation and construction projects led by or on behalf of the Presidio Trust.
This is a full-time position with benefits and a starting pay range of $126,842 to $150,531, based in the SF Bay Area. The starting base salary is dependent on the experience and qualifications of the candidate. Applications received by July 5, 2024, will receive first consideration
